Tajikistan ditches Nadir, Bangladeshis now global visa pariahs

Bangladeshi citizens face mounting visa rejections across multiple countries over the past two years. Travel agencies report significant quota reductions from Middle Eastern, Asian, and European nations due to document fraud and illegal overstays. Political instability following the July uprising worsened conditions when India suspended most visa services.

European visa applications became nearly impossible since many EU embassies operate from Delhi rather than Dhaka. Several countries completely closed their labor markets to Bangladesh workers after various incidents. The UAE, Malaysia, Italy, Oman, and other nations imposed restrictions or suspensions on work permits.

Tourism visa approvals dropped dramatically with rejection rates reaching 80 percent for European destinations. Social media users express widespread frustration over repeated denials even for previously accessible countries like Tajikistan.
