Tanzania fell short in a narrow Scotland defeat

The Tanzania women's cricket team suffered a narrow five-run defeat against Scotland in a closely fought ICC Emerging Nations Trophy match in Bangkok. Chasing a target of 154, the Tanzanian side concluded its innings at 148 for eight.

Scotland had earlier set a competitive total of 153 for five, largely built on an unbeaten 76 from Darcey Carter, who also claimed three wickets with her bowling. Tanzania's reply began promisingly with a 58-run opening partnership between Saum Mtae and Fatuma Kibasu. Hudaa Omary offered late resistance with an unbeaten 38, but regular wickets and key run outs prevented the team from building sustained momentum.
