Forty-six representatives from government agencies, development organizations, and private companies attended the session about fortified wheat flour technology. The event focused on combating vitamin and mineral shortages that affect women and children across Bangladesh.

Md Jamal Hossain, the additional director general of the Directorate General of Food, spoke about health advantages and commercial potential. Deputy Director SM Abu Sayed from BSTI addressed quality standards and regulations. Md Nayem Zobayer presented technical innovations and economic benefits of wheat flour fortification. Industry representatives from BASF, Müllen Chemie, World Food Programme, Nutrition International, and Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition participated in open discussions.
