Terminal VST has debuted its free Instant drum sequencer

Terminal VST is giving away a drum sequencer, and it plays the second you open it. Instant is a single-voice, single-channel plugin built for electronic and dance producers. A pattern runs immediately, no setup required. Grab a clap, snare, or closed or open hi-hat, pull from the factory samples or drop in your own, and percussion is on the track.

Anyone wanting depth gets plenty. There's a variable-length 32-step sequencer, per-step velocity randomization, micro-timing nudge, and shuffle/swing. Every control takes Elektron-style parameter locks, filters and pitch included. Real-time automation recording is baked in, and finished loops drag straight into a DAW as audio. All of it stays optional, since the pattern grooves along untouched.

Availability is dead simple. Instant runs on macOS and Windows, as VST3 and AU, with zero activation. Patrik Skoog built it, and it launches next to Terminal, a distortion feedback engine aimed at producers chasing noisier textures.
