The Yangon market offers organic produce every weekend

Myanmar's organic agriculture sector has established a weekly marketplace in Yangon where farmers sell naturally cultivated vegetables and fruits alongside processed goods made from their harvests. The Myanmar Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Producer and Exporter Association operates the venue at Myaypadethakyun in Bahan Township, with secretary U Tin Aung explaining that the initiative creates commercial channels for producers following good agricultural practices.

The marketplace reopened after pandemic-related suspension, having originally begun operations in 2013. Small and medium enterprises use the venue to market value-added products derived from organic crops.
