TP-Link lines up Wi-Fi 7 mesh and gaming router for homes

TP-Link just unleashed two Wi-Fi 7 networking beasts for Japanese nerds craving speed. The gear hits shelves late January and features a three-year warranty on both gadgets. First up sits the Deco BE68 mesh system, which claims massive tri-band speeds hitting nearly 9 gigs on the 6 GHz frequency. It sports eight antennas to blast signals everywhere.

This mesh rig handles backhaul using wired or wireless connections simultaneously to fix dead zones. That setup helps prevent signal drops in multi-story houses where coverage usually fails. Port selection looks solid with one 10 Gigabit jack and a 2.5 Gigabit port alongside standard gigabit options. Users can attach storage drives via USB 3.0 for file sharing.

Gamers might prefer the Archer GE400 router, which focuses on dual-band performance with traffic optimization tools. The device tops out around 5.7 gigs on the 5 GHz band and includes a specialized dashboard for tweaking settings. Wired connectivity offers a 2.5 Gigabit WAN plus LAN ports for hardwired rigs, while security protocols support enterprise standards.

Pricing lands at roughly 218 US dollars for a single Deco unit or 395 for a pair. The Archer model costs about 163 bucks.
