ASUS TUF BE9400 launches, Wi-Fi 7 router goes full speed

ASUS unveiled its TUF Gaming BE9400 router for the Japanese market at 34,920 yen, and the thing rocks tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with theoretical speeds hitting 9.4 gigabits across 6 gigahertz, 5 gigahertz, and 2.4 gigahertz bands. The standout feature is Multi-Link Operation, letting devices jump between frequencies or use multiple bands at once to keep latency down during gaming sessions or streaming binges.

All the Ethernet ports run at 2.5 gigabits per second with one input and three outputs, which means fiber connections can actually stretch their legs without bottlenecking. A quad-core 1.5 gigahertz processor handles routing duties with a gig of RAM backing it up, and the whole setup supports AiMesh for expanding coverage across bigger spaces.

The box measures 320 by 179 by 191 millimeters with six external antennas bolted on for signal reach, plus there's a USB 3.2 port for network storage or other local services. ASUS positioned this as a mid-range option for households running lots of devices that want modern wireless standards without dropping flagship cash.
