Trikanda eyes Jan 23 release for post-pilgrimage believers

The spiritual thriller Trikanda might come out next January. Its producer, Srinivas, said they are looking at a January 23 release, though nothing is final. They want to target devout audiences, specifically timing it after many return from pilgrimages to Sabarimala. The film stars Mahendran and Shraddha Das, shot over roughly two months in Chennai and Hyderabad.

A trailer launch recently happened in Chennai. The preview shows a conflict between dark forces and good, with a voiceover about a war to stop dawn itself. Scenes depict people living in fear under this darkness. Mahendran's character appears in action sequences fighting this threat. Shraddha Das plays a psychiatrist who mistakes a patient's demonic influence for bipolar disorder, highlighting the core battle between supernatural evil and human understanding.

The cast includes actors like Ajay, Sahithi Avancha, and Nandha Durairaj, with numerous others in key parts. The technical crew features cinematographer Pavan Chenna and music composers Harshavardhan Rameshwar and Shajith Humayun. Art direction is by C.S. Saimani, with lyrics from Mutamil and Vivek. Stunt choreography involves several coordinators, including Anji and Venkat Diamond, while dance sequences are by Suchitra Chandrabose. The film is produced by Radhika Srinivas and presented by Rithvik Vetsha.
