Uggah drags the Sarawak Ulu Pandan road saga, flood strangles Sebauh

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas announced that Sarawak authorities will tackle obstacles affecting the Ulu Pandan Road Project Phase 2. Land disputes and technical problems require immediate attention to prevent construction delays. Officials must expedite solutions to maintain the current timeline. The deputy premier made these remarks after visiting the construction site. Government leaders prioritize infrastructure development for rural communities.

Construction teams have completed 67.48 percent of the planned work. The project features an eight-kilometer paved highway meeting JKR R3 standards. Workers will build six kilometers of branch roads following JKR R1 specifications. Crews will repair eleven kilometers of existing roadway between Sungai Tissay Bridge and Sungai Kelabat Bridge. Two concrete bridges measuring 60 meters and 30 meters will span Sungai Sebauh and Sungai Genaan, respectively. Uggah directed Sarawak JKR contractors and supporting agencies to address the remaining challenges promptly.
