UNN sets 6 p.m. curfew after Chiebonam Nweze's death

University of Nigeria, Nsukka administrators implemented new security measures following a fatal stabbing incident during a student celebration. The institution established a 6 p.m. deadline for all campus social gatherings after businessman Chiebonam Nweze died on September 12. External troublemakers from surrounding areas disrupted the Department of Archaeology and Heritage Studies' bonfire event and attacked the visitor. Acting Public Relations Officer Mr. Inya Egwu announced that future social activities must occur during daylight hours under direct security oversight. The administration is committed to preventing similar violence while maintaining academic and social opportunities for the university community.
