Usain Bolt watches Oblique Seville win 100 meters in Jamaica

Usain Bolt observed track and field competition from a stadium skybox during the recent world championships. The retired sprinter watched Oblique Seville claim the 100-meter title while maintaining his status as the sport's ultimate benchmark. Eight years after leaving competition, Bolt's world records remain untouched despite advances in shoe and track technology.

The Jamaican legend holds marks of 9.58 seconds in the 100 meters, 19.19 in the 200 meters, and 36.84 in the 4x100 relay. No athlete has approached these times within 0.12 seconds since his departure. Bolt credits natural talent over equipment improvements for his sustained dominance.

Beyond speed, Bolt transformed track and field through his engaging personality and entertainment value. His signature celebrations and interactions with fans elevated the sport's appeal. The father of three children plans to attend the next world championships in Beijing, where he achieved breakthrough success during the 2008 Olympics.
