Child television actor Veer Sharma and his brother Shaurya died from smoke inhalation after a fire engulfed their Kota apartment on Sunday morning. The boys were sleeping alone when flames erupted in the drawing room of their fourth-floor residence at Deepshree building. Neighbors discovered smoke, broke down the door, and rushed both children to a hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead. Their father attended a religious gathering, while their mother was working in Mumbai at the time of the tragedy.
Police suspect that an electrical short-circuit sparked the blaze, which completely destroyed the drawing room and damaged other areas. SP Tejeshwani Goutam confirmed that authorities have registered a case under Section 194 of the BNSS Act and are continuing to investigate the incident. The family donated the children's eyes to an eye bank after their mother returned from Mumbai. Veer appeared in popular shows Shrimad Ramayan and Veer Hanuman before his death.
