Vexon drops Mirra, a reverb that moves like a real recording session

Another reverb plugin wants to fake a whole recording studio. Vexon Audio released Mirra, a hybrid convolution tool that mixes microphone and room impulse responses to simulate real sessions. It lets users blend mic character with spaces from small rooms to large halls, and even load their own custom IR files. The plugin combines captured convolution realism with algorithmic reverb tails for flexibility.

Its features include tone shaping filters, compression routing, and a unique interactive pad for moving a sound source in space. Mirra can also record and export your entire reverb chain as a new impulse response file for use elsewhere. The interface is resizable, and it comes with various presets for quick starts. Available now for about thirty British pounds, it works on Mac and Windows systems in common plugin formats.
