Exakt and Exakt Lite Get a Reverb Kick and Tweaks

Sonicbits just updated their FM synths Exakt and the free version Exakt Lite. The latest Exakt comes with version 1.3.0, which adds a sweet new reverb right after the delay effect. You can turn this on for any preset you want. They threw in 20 fresh presets, bringing your total choices to more than 190 different sounds you can play with.

Mac users will love that Apple Intel and ARM versions come together in one installer - no more picking between different downloads. All those effect mix controls display differently, showing the dry/wet ratio for easier understanding. The team fixed several bugs, including problems saving parameters in your DAW sessions and issues with glide not working right in mono mode.

They corrected operator-level modulation values and fixed voice management for certain FM algorithms. The DAC sample rate conversion sometimes only worked on one channel, but that's history. SysEx import mapping works better, making operator levels match hardware more closely. Apple ARM users get better performance from the AU version, plus Windows users see a smarter setup process asking which formats to install first.

Exakt Lite version 2.3.0 received a similar treatment with 26 new presets, pushing the total beyond 90. It shares many fixes with its bigger brother, including the merged Mac installer and corrections for DAW session saving. The team also fixed glide in mono mode, operator level modulation values and boosted performance for Apple ARM users. Windows setup improvements and general performance fixes round out the updates for both synths.
