VHP credits Modi for 25 years of progress, slams TMC on Bengal unrest

Vishwa Hindu Parishad spokesperson Shriraj Nair stated on Wednesday that India has shifted to a development-focused politics as Prime Minister Narendra Modi completes 24 years in office. Nair credited Modi for steering the country toward progress since taking office, highlighting initiatives such as the construction of the Lord Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the revocation of Article 370. He noted that new infrastructure projects, including the airport and metro in Mumbai, reflect this era of growth.

Nair also criticized the West Bengal government, led by Mamata Banerjee, accusing it of practicing appeasement politics and failing to protect the Hindu community. He said incidents of violence against Hindu women and attacks on political representatives are widely documented, and alleged that Hindus are being given second-class status. Nair predicted consequences for the state government in future elections. Meanwhile, Bengal Minister Shashi Panja condemned the Tripura government and police for failing to prevent an attack on the Trinamool Congress office, accusing them of ignoring violence and undermining democracy.
