Wadri denies betrayal, defends independent run in Arua race

Kassiano Wadri is pushing back against claims he ditched Bobi Wine by running independently for the Arua Central Division parliamentary seat. Wadri pointed out that People Power was just a pressure group back when he won in 2018, not an actual registered party. He joined ANT after it got official status before NUP even existed, and plenty of politicians from different parties backed his earlier campaign.

His 2018 run pulled support from FDC members, DP folks, and even some NRM people. ANT's mayoral candidate, Nezma Ocokoru, backed him up at a rally, saying opposition parties still work together without beef. Local voters apparently care more about individual candidates than strict party loyalty anyway.
