Parti Warisan welcomed Edna Jessica Majimbun into its membership during a ceremony at Kolombong headquarters. The 47-year-old Kota Kinabalu Native Court District Chief represents enhanced female and youth participation within the party. Warisan president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal received her membership alongside deputy president Datuk Darell Leiking and senior officials. Majimbun became the first woman District Chief in Sabah's Native Court system during 2020.
The daughter of former Sepanggar MP Datuk Eric Majimbun maintained political neutrality before this decision. She believes Sabahans require unified leadership through one political platform for collective progress. Shafie declined confirming candidacy plans for Inanam constituency when questioned by media representatives. He stated that early announcements might enable sabotage attempts from rival political organizations.
