WaveX will launch seven incubation centers across India to support technology startups. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced this expansion on Wednesday. These facilities will assist companies working in animation, visual effects, gaming, comics, and extended reality sectors. The centers will operate from campuses in Delhi, Jammu, Dhenkanal, Kottayam, Amravati, Pune, and Kolkata. This expansion adds to the current Mumbai facility at the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies.
Each location will select fifteen startups for their first program. Companies pay monthly fees of Rs 8,500 plus applicable taxes. Priority goes to media and entertainment ventures. Participants gain access to professional equipment and production facilities. The Mumbai headquarters features advanced technology such as 8K cameras, 4K theaters, high-performance computers, and virtual production stages with LED displays.
