Why Your 2024 Ranger Could Suddenly Lose Control

Ford is back some 2024 Rangers after finding a dangerous part problem. Workers put the wrong control arm piece on the left front area of certain trucks. The National Consumer Commission says this mistake creates crash risks for drivers. The bad part helps keep vehicles steady during turns and stops. Ford admits the error affects about 25 trucks across four countries.

The company sold these problem trucks across southern Africa. Buyers live in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, and Eswatini. Officials warn that the faulty joint might break apart during driving. Drivers could lose control of one wheel when this happens. The broken part makes steering much harder and more dangerous.

Ford tells truck owners to visit dealers right away for free fixes. The repair costs nothing for affected customers. Dealers can check each truck to see if it has the wrong part installed. The company promises quick repairs once owners bring their trucks to authorized shops. Australia faced a similar recall earlier affecting over 13,000 Rangers and Everest models for different engine problems.
