One of the biggest arguments we always have is about using players born outside Zim. Now that Marian Marinica is the new boss, I'm really curious what his approach will be. His job history says he has experience integrating diaspora talent, which sounds promising. We have so many good players in England and other leagues who could help the Warriors.

A one-year contract means Marian Marinica needs results fast. The quickest way to do that is to call up our best players wherever they are playing. I really hope he starts making those calls right away. We can't keep ignoring top talent just because they play overseas. What do you think his plan will be?

He absolutely has to use the diaspora players. There's no other choice. ZIFA even said one of the reasons they hired Marian Marinica was his experience with integrating players from overseas. He has a one-year contract, so he needs to win games immediately. He doesn't have three years to build a project from the ground up with only local guys.

The fastest way to improve the Warriors is to call up our best players, period. And right now, many of our best players are in Europe. We need their quality and their professional experience. I'm talking about the guys playing in England and France. They can lift the level of the entire squad.

I'm actually very optimistic about this part. I think Marian Marinica is a practical coach. He knows...

I'm actually very optimistic about this part. I think Marian Marinica is a practical coach. He knows he'll be judged on results. He will pick the best team he can, whether they play in Harare or London. This could be the best thing about his appointment. I'm just excited to see who gets the call-up for the next camp. It's time to bring everyone home.
