Yobe Governor Approves 267 Health Technician Jobs

Governor Buni of Yobe State just hired 267 medical workers for hospitals across the state. His team announced the news through spokesman Mamman Mohammed yesterday. The governor also added 140 recent graduates from India to the payroll right away. These new hires studied different medical fields thanks to state scholarships while abroad.

The fresh graduates include exactly 43 nurses with bachelor's degrees, plus another 43 pharmacists. They also hired 22 laboratory experts, 24 people who know how to use X-ray machines, seven eye specialists, and one public health graduate. The governor decided these India-trained professionals should start at higher pay levels marked as CONHESS 8 under the government system.

Buni also hired 127 health workers already helping at local clinics without official positions. These folks had been working free as volunteers before this decision came through. The governor told his staff to find these dedicated workers and put them on the official payroll immediately. According to the announcement, he assigned these previously unpaid helpers to CONHESS 6/2 pay scales.

The employment push aims to solve staffing problems at medical centers throughout Yobe State. Before these hires, many rural facilities lacked enough trained professionals. The governor specifically targeted both new graduates and experienced volunteers to fix shortages fast. Health experts believe better staffing should improve care for everyday citizens seeking medical treatment at government facilities.
