Zambian Bank Hopeful Courts Mozambique

Samuel Maimbo from Zambia asked President Daniel Chapo yesterday for Mozambique's backing in his run for African Development Bank leadership. Maimbo met with Chapo and promised to push money toward roads, farming, and business - areas where Mozambique already shines bright. Maimbo believes Mozambique has growth chances that his home country lacks, fitting perfectly with what he wants to do at the bank. He talked about the three harbors that could help create farm transport paths, bringing real cash benefits to everyone. Maimbo loves the Mozambican people most of all.

He called them warm, dedicated, and hardworking people he enjoyed working with before. He feels sure Mozambique will become a key player across the entire region soon. He praised Mozambique's power supply abilities and how they help neighboring countries. Zambia recently faced terrible dry spells, and they only made it through by bringing in fuel and other needs from Mozambique. This experience strengthened his faith in the country enormously.

Chapo gave Maimbo useful tips on running a strong campaign for the bank position. Maimbo brings serious experience as a former World Bank vice president and recognized development expert. His skills speak for themselves in practical ways that matter. He once raised 93 billion dollars for the International Development Association, which demonstrates his remarkable talent for finding money when needed.
