Zanu-PF Slams Social Media Drama

The ZANU-PF Midlands group has taken a firm stand against bad social media behavior. They caution citizens to stay alert for anyone using online platforms to create chaos across the country. Their warning follows Mr. Blessing Geza calling for illegal protests after the ruling party removed him from his position in the ZANU-PF Central Committee.

These planned protests completely failed because citizens ignored all calls to demonstrate in the streets. Edson Chiherenge, who leads ZANU-PF in the Midlands Province, has raised concerns about increasing social media misuse that aims to cause trouble and spread false stories about the Government. The Midlands leadership team rejects the dangerous use of social media and urges citizens not to believe those who want to destroy national progress.

The ruling party has started working on social media guidelines for its members. These rules will ensure supporters discuss issues helpfully instead of creating fights within the party. Chiherenge also cautioned everyone against joining unapproved protests because such activities risk breaking down peace across the nation.

He expressed worry about certain groups trying to create rifts in their communities. Zimbabwe operates as a democracy where citizens select their leaders through proper voting systems. The party finds any attempts to interfere with these processes totally unacceptable. Chiherenge urged the public to avoid unauthorized gatherings that might damage society and encouraged police forces to remain watchful in performing their constitutional duties.

Simbarashe Mumbengegwi from the ZANU-PF Politburo also shared his thoughts. He advised Zimbabweans to beware of individuals using social media as a tool for hidden plans against national growth. He described social media abuse as a new threat with unclear origins but noticed some people using these platforms to attempt to remove the current President.

Mumbengegwi emphasized the importance of staying loyal to the party's founding values and cautioned members against listening to self-centered individuals with personal agendas. During last year's major party conference held in Bulawayo, members agreed President Mnangagwa should continue serving beyond 2028 to complete his vision of transforming Zimbabwe into a wealthier economy by 2030.

Mumbengegwi asked all party members to remain united and support President Mnangagwa as he continues leading national development efforts through 2030.
