Zimbabwe Opens New Courts in Rural Areas.
Zimbabwe's justice minister has created three new courts to bring legal services closer to rural communities.
Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi signed orders last week to set up courts in Makuti, Ruwangwe, and Nyanga. The move aims to help more people access the justice system.
Makuti will host a periodic court serving Mashonaland West Province. Another periodic court will open in Ruwangwe, Manicaland Province.
The minister also approved a regional circuit court for Nyanga in Manicaland. These changes came through official notices in the government gazette.
The new courts follow the rules set by Zimbabwe's Magistrates Court Act. They represent the latest step in the government's plan to expand legal services across the country.
