Zimbabwe ready for Expo 2025 Osaka to boost trade

Next month, Japan will host Expo 2025, where countries show off their best stuff. Zimbabwe plans to make a big splash at this famous world fair. The country wants people to see its amazing culture, growing business opportunities, and friendly citizens. Experts think this event will help Zimbabwe make more money through new business deals.

When Zimbabwe participates in the Osaka event, it expects tourist numbers to jump by 15 percent. It also believes trade deals will increase by 10 percent every year after the expo. New investment agreements should also boost tourism by 10 percent. All these benefits come from simply showing up at this massive global gathering.

Commissioner General Allan Majuru leads the Zimbabwe team with help from the Foreign Affairs Ministry. Everyone in the country should back their efforts because the payoff looks huge. The expo gives local companies a chance to meet buyers and investors from all over the world. When Zimbabwe shows off its natural resources and skilled workers, foreign money flows in.

The expo lets Zimbabwe expand beyond its usual exports by featuring fresh produce, handmade crafts, and vacation packages. These new products earn extra cash and make the economy stronger against problems. Past events prove expos attract serious investment dollars. When the UAE attended Milan's 2015 Expo, they pulled in $10 billion the next year.

Singapore went to Shanghai's 2010 Expo and saw foreign investment climb 20 percent afterward. They showed off their business-friendly rules and smart workforce. Studies found that 70 percent of countries at expos get more foreign money the following year. Zimbabwe can copy these success stories by highlighting farming, mining, tourism, and building projects.

A well-designed display booth helps attract serious money that creates jobs. The expo also boosts tourism by showcasing natural beauty and cultural treasures. After Milan's 2015 Expo, UAE visitor numbers jumped 7.5 percent to 14.9 million tourists. Singapore experienced similar results, with 20 percent more visitors after Shanghai's event.

Exposure at expos attracts hotel developers and travel companies looking for new locations. South Korea saw major hotel chains invest after Yeosu's 2012 Expo. That year, they had 13.4 percent more tourists—over 11 million people came to visit. Zimbabwe has Victoria Falls and Hwange National Park ready to wow international travelers.

The event helps Zimbabwe build better relationships with other countries through "soft power." Research from Oxford University shows nations at expos score higher on influence measures than those who skip these events. South Korea climbed global influence rankings after participating in 2012. UAE attracted three million visitors to its Milan pavilion in 2015.

Zimbabwe plans an amazing display booth based on feedback from different provinces. Visitors will walk through exhibits showing history, natural resources, tourist spots, and business ventures. The showcase features Victoria Falls, Hwange Park, Nyanga Mountains, and Great Zimbabwe ruins. These displays highlight both nature protection efforts and cultural treasures.

Key business sectors like farming, education, healthcare, and mining take center stage. The booth emphasizes ways companies can partner with Zimbabwe on projects that help both sides grow. Trade exhibits show minerals, tobacco, cotton, and farm products ready for export. People can make connections that lead to long-term business relationships.

Zimbabwe attended Dubai's Expo 2020 recently and gained valuable experience. Many business deals happened there, and more people learned about what Zimbabwe offers. The country plans to build on those lessons for even better results in Osaka. With careful planning and smart promotion, Zimbabwe stands ready to benefit greatly from this global stage.
