Zimbabwean players shine abroad in April

Zimbabwean soccer stars shined across European leagues during April's first weekend. Munashe Garan'anga started his first match since November for FC Copenhagen, playing all 90 minutes in their 1-0 victory against FC Nordsjælland. Marshall Munetsi kept his starting spot with the Wolves, playing right wing before switching to midfield as they beat Ipswich Town 2-1. Andy Rinomhota returned to Cardiff City's starting lineup following his brother Joseph's death, lasting the full game at right-back.

League One saw Tawanda Chirewa start for Huddersfield Town, managing 61 minutes against Mansfield Town. Tendayi Darikwa played for Lincoln City during their 2-2 draw with Charlton Athletic. Reading's Tivonge Rushesha came off the bench late in their 1-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers. Tawanda Maswanhise entered as a substitute for Motherwell FC during their 2-0 loss to Kilmarnock in Scotland.

Bill Antonio appeared from the bench for KV Mechelen as they smashed Dender 5-2 in Belgian playoff action. Jordan Zemura missed Udinese's 1-0 defeat to Genoa in Italian Serie A. Knowledge Musona completed a full match for Al Akhdoud during their 1-0 triumph against Al Orobah in Saudi Arabia. These performances highlight growing Zimbabwean talent across international football competitions.
