Zimre Profit Roars to 10M on Dollar Switch

Zimre Holdings made $10.33 million in profit last year, up 471% from 2023. The company did well because it spread its business across different countries and made smart insurance choices. Their insurance money jumped 24% to $61.86 million thanks to life insurance, local backup coverage, and work in Mozambique.

Their total cash flow hit $88.02 million, with most of it in US dollars. The company switched to using US dollars for all money matters in January 2024 to avoid problems with Zimbabwe's money troubles. Their assets grew to $208 million, and they gave shareholders a bigger dividend than last year.

Zimre plans to expand to Africa, list one company on the Botswana stock market, and start a real estate trust this year. They also want to use more digital tools and invest in clean energy. The firm has been around for over 40 years and aims to continue making money for investors.
