The Value Chain Development Programme partnered with the Nigerian Meteorological Agency to deliver weather forecasts to smallholder farmers across nine states. Dr Fati Aliyu announced this collaboration during equipment distribution ceremonies in Minna, Niger State. The partnership established mini weather stations in local government areas that provide forecasts in native languages. Farmers use this information to make better agricultural decisions while adapting to climate change effects.
