Kenya wants to export more cows and cow products to other countries. It used to send them to places like the UAE and the Middle East, but now it wants to send them to countries in Africa, like Libya and Nigeria.
Nicholas Ngahu is in charge of a group that helps send cows and cow products to other countries. He says the new places will pay more money for the cows and cow products.
Last year, Kenya sent 500 tons of cow meat, 7,000 tons of sheep meat, 20,000 tons of goat meat, and 30,000 live animals to other countries. The animals went to Oman, Egypt, and Mauritius. The meat went to the UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, DRC Congo, and Seychelles.
