Action Aid International The Gambia (AAITG) has helped 81 families in Upper Nuimi. Fires, floods, and windstorms hurt the families. AAITG gave them D657,230.00 to help them recover.
The ceremony to give out the money was held at AAITG's Juffureh Office. The Governor of North Bank Region, Lamin Saidykhan, was there. The alkalo and the families who got help were there.
Governor Saidykhan said AAITG has done a lot for the region. He said they work to make things better for people. He said the money will help the families fix their homes. He also said AAITG and the Regional Disaster Management Coordination Office work well together. They figure out what the families need.
