Abdul Aleem Khan orders swift NHA upgrades, unveils Lahore Sialkot motorway plan

Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan assembled National Highway Authority executives to discuss project timelines and construction quality standards. Officials received instructions to develop a three-decade infrastructure blueprint during the Punjab Region Office session. The minister demanded immediate completion of remaining Multan Road to Ring Road corridor construction work. Authority leaders must prevent any construction delays while maintaining superior building standards. Strategic planning sessions addressed long-term transportation needs across the province.

Lahore-Sialkot Motorway will expand from four lanes to six under the new development plan. Engineers will extend this route to link Kharian directly with the federal capital. Travelers can expect journey reductions of approximately one hundred kilometers and sixty minutes. Multiple districts benefit from improved connectivity through this enhanced transportation network. Federal Secretary, NHA Chairman, and RUDA CEO attended the comprehensive briefing session.

Khan conducted field visits along Multan Road expansion sites to monitor construction progress. Local residents welcomed the federal minister warmly throughout his inspection tour.
