Accra Lions Crash In Premier League Meltdown

Ghana Football Association confirmed that Accra Lions must leave the Premier League after Sunday's season finale. The team joins Legon Cities and Nsoatreman FC as the three clubs moving down from top-level soccer. Lions lost 4-0 to Bibiani GoldStars at DUN's Park on the final matchday. The heavy defeat sealed their fate after finishing 15th place during a tough campaign. Last season Lions earned second place but struggled through poor performances during the current year.

Bibiani GoldStars won their first Premier League championship with the decisive victory over Lions. Abdul Farouk Amoaful scored the opening goal before Kelvin Oppong added a second strike. Samuel Kumi and Frank Amankwah completed the scoring spree for the new champions. Home fans celebrated wildly as GoldStars players lifted the trophy at their stadium. The title represents a historic achievement for the club after years of hard work.

Lions faced problems throughout the season with missed opportunities and weak play. Legon Cities had already confirmed their relegation before the final weekend arrived. Nsoatreman FC quit the league during the middle of the season and faced automatic demotion. All three teams will compete at lower division levels next season.
