Addo hails Japan's conduct after 2-0 Ghana loss

Ghana manager Otto Addo praised Japanese hospitality and sportsmanship after the Black Stars fell 2-0 in the Kirin Cup at Toyota Stadium, with Takumi Minamino and Ritsu Doan finding the net in separate halves. Addo attributed the defeat partly to his starting lineup having minimal shared experience and emphasized that the match served as preparation for the upcoming World Cup competition.

The coach particularly highlighted midfielder Ao Tanaka's gesture of visiting the Ghana bench to apologize for the tackle that seriously injured Francis Abu. Addo described the action as reflecting exceptional values within Japanese football culture and said such behavior deserved recognition rather than being treated as ordinary.

Ghana has traveled to Seoul ahead of their final fixture during this international window against South Korea.
