ADI Chain, Tangem sell hardware wallets in UAE Virgin stores

A crypto wallet just landed on the same shelf as your phone charger, and honestly, that changes everything. ADI Chain teamed up with Swiss outfit Tangem to drop a co-branded smart card at Virgin Megastores locations throughout the UAE, covering over 80 networks like BTC, ETH, and ADI native tokens.

And the setup is stupidly simple. Grab the card off the rack, tap it against any NFC-enabled phone running Tangem's companion app, and you're live in minutes. Every transaction needs you to physically tap the card before it goes through, with private keys locked inside its embedded chip. No seed phrases scribbled on napkins.

Here's the wild part. ADI Chain was literally engineered for governments and banks running compliance-heavy operations, yet they're funneling that institutional-grade security into a retail product. Ivan Branitskiy from ADI Foundation sees shelf placement as the on-ramp for getting everyday people on-chain.

Tangem's CCO Darya Karpukova echoed the same energy, pushing the idea that holding your keys shouldn't require an engineering degree. The Swiss firm has moved 6 million units with zero security incidents since 2017.
