Agbado LCDA chief throws gloves for youth, backs grassroots boxing

Local politician promises to keep backing youth boxing to fight boredom. The chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA in Lagos, Abiodun Ishola Ejigbadero, said he will push sports to engage young people, speaking at the finals of a community boxing championship organized by KAROMISHAUS and CDC head Ernest Kasunmu. The event ran at Temidire Primary School.

Ejigbadero noted the annual boxing competition predates his term, arguing local governments should focus on building up grassroots athletics. His commitment frames sports as a tool for making youths more productive, directly tying the council's support to broader social usefulness.
