Ahmad Zahid urges Umno to end infighting and focus on party unity

UMNO President Ahmad Zahid Hamidi told party members to stop fighting each other during a meeting yesterday. The Deputy Prime Minister said members who tear each other apart hurt the party badly before the next election. He warned that pointing fingers and thinking only one person has the right answers destroys public trust. Ahmad Zahid spoke at the Segamat UMNO Division meeting where local leaders gathered. The party chief said members must discuss problems in polite and proper ways.

Ahmad Zahid compared backstabbing members to crabs trapped inside a bucket. He explained that when crabs try climbing out, they step on other crabs and nobody escapes alive. The Barisan Nasional chairman said UMSO members act just like those doomed crabs when they attack each other. He told the crowd that this deadly behavior kills the whole party. Ahmad Zahid stressed that working together helps everyone survive and grow stronger.

The veteran politician gave a clear warning about treating people badly during political careers. He said small leaders who act rude to others face much worse treatment when they gain power later. Ahmad Zahid pushed all party workers to focus on bringing grassroots supporters together instead of creating splits. Johor UMNO leader Onn Hafiz Ghazi attended the event alongside local division chief Zahari Sarip. The meeting happened at Taman Yayasan Multipurpose Hall where party members discussed future plans.
