Air Zimbabwe's Mutare flights are here to stay

Air Zimbabwe transforms its temporary Harare-Mutare-Victoria Falls service into a permanent route following exceptional passenger response during the recent tourism exposition. The carrier operates flights through Grand Reef Aerodrome in Mutare as part of broader recovery plans targeting domestic connectivity and tourism sector support. Chief Executive Edmund Makona reports overwhelmingly positive customer feedback prompted the decision to maintain regular operations beyond the original event timeframe. One-way tickets begin at 85 US dollars while return fares cost 170 US dollars for passengers traveling between these destinations.

The permanent route provides essential air access to Zimbabwe's Eastern Highlands region while supporting broader economic development objectives across the nation. Travelers from Mutare gain seamless connections to regional and international flights through Harare hub operations. Air Zimbabwe partnered with PayNow to facilitate convenient online ticket purchases and advance reservations for customers nationwide. The service strengthens community links while promoting trade opportunities and showcasing Zimbabwe's tourism attractions. This expansion demonstrates the national carrier's commitment to connecting diverse regions through reliable air transport services.
