Ondo State just opened up a new command center and training spot for their Amotekun security crew to level up how they handle crime. Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa said the setup will help coordination and make officers sharper on tactics, and he gave props to Commander Adetunji Adeleye for getting the whole thing built. The governor already greenlit hiring 500 more people to staff up the operation.
Aiyedatiwa shouted out the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for having the guts to start Amotekun with other southwestern governors back in the day. The commander mentioned the corps has been evolving since 2020, and local security groups can actually work when politicians back them up against whatever threats pop up.
