Akai Pro MPC Live III costs £1399 with battery power

Akai Pro released the MPC Live III on Friday, featuring MPCe pads with 3D-sensing technology that delivers responsive X-Y control over sample layers and dynamic note repeats. The device operates as a standalone production center powered by an 8-core CPU and 8GB of RAM running MPC OS 3.6, supporting up to 16 audio tracks and 32 simultaneous plug-in instances without requiring a computer. The unit offers a rechargeable battery, built-in microphone, onboard speakers, and stereo XLR/TRS combo inputs with six line-level outputs.

The MPC Live III introduces a 16-button step sequencer and Clip Matrix mode for real-time loop creation through the seven-inch touchscreen interface. The device supports 24 channels of audio and 32 channels of bi-directional MIDI via USB-C connectivity. Akai Pro priced the MPC Live III at 1,399.99 British pounds and 1,649.99 euros.
