Akena Blasts NRM, Vows Teso Will Return to UPC's Fold

Jimmy Akena went after Uganda's ruling party during a major political rally. The UPC leader told crowds that President Museveni steals ideas from other parties. Akena claimed his party already controls northern regions like Lango. He said the current government only knows how to throw parties instead of helping people. The opposition chief wants voters to pick UPC over NRM during the next election.

Akena traveled through Teso region to pump up supporters at political meetings. He complained that the government refuses to pay farmers back for stolen cattle. The politician said this delay hurts local people who depend on livestock for money. Akena believes the ruling party uses these problems to control voters. He promised UPC would fix cattle payments if they win power.

The opposition leader claims NRM copied all their best development plans from UPC. Akena says his father Milton Obote started most programs that Museveni takes credit for today. He wants Ugandans to remember which party really built the country first. The UPC boss said people deserve honest leaders who create new ideas. Akena thinks voters will choose his party because they offer real change instead of empty promises.
