Al Arabi in talks with Pitso Mosimane for coach role

Kuwaiti club Al-Arabi has entered negotiations with Pitso Mosimane after dismissing Portuguese manager Marco Alves following a loss to league basement team Al-Nasr. The 61-year-old South African tactician emerged as the primary candidate after talks collapsed with former coach Nasser Al-Shatti, who insisted on a three-year agreement exceeding the club's 18-month offer.

Al-Arabi administrators value Mosimane's record of capturing three CAF Champions League trophies during tenures with Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly. Club leadership believes his expertise in high-pressure situations could stabilize their current campaign despite his recent Middle Eastern appointments failing to replicate earlier African achievements. Sources indicate the veteran manager welcomes an opportunity to restore his international reputation through this potential assignment.
