Al-Hilal Face Manchester City With Four Stars Ruled Out

Al-Hilal announced major player injuries Saturday morning before facing Manchester City. The Saudi team will play without several key stars during their Club World Cup match. Salem Al-Dawsari, Abdullah Al-Hamdan and Musab Al-Juwair cannot play because of their injuries. The Round of 16 game takes place in the United States as part of the 2025 tournament. Al-Hilal coaches must find new players to replace these missing stars.

Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic remains away from team practice sessions. He works with medical staff on a special recovery program instead of training with teammates. The striker hopes to return for future matches after completing his rehabilitation work. His absence removes another attacking option for the Saudi club. Team doctors continue monitoring his progress each day.

Midfielder Abdullah Al-Malki also faces fitness problems before the important match. The player returned from a loan spell but suffered a thigh muscle injury. Medical staff ruled him out of the Manchester City game because of this setback. Al-Malki cannot help his team against the English Premier League champions. His injury adds to the growing list of unavailable players.

The match begins at 4 AM Tuesday morning according to Saudi Arabia time. Both teams want to advance to the quarter-final stage of the competition. Manchester City enters as favorites after winning the UEFA Champions League. Al-Hilal must overcome their injury problems to compete effectively. The winner moves closer to claiming the Club World Cup trophy.
