Ali Amin Gandapur, KP lawmakers cast votes as ECP extends Senate polling in Peshawar

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Assembly completed Senate election voting on Monday with full participation from its 145 members. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur joined fellow legislators in casting ballots at the designated Jirga Hall polling station. The Election Commission of Pakistan granted an extension request that moved the closing time from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This additional hour allowed every assembly member to participate in the electoral process. Officials began counting ballots immediately after polls closed.

The Chief Minister had formally requested the time extension to ensure complete legislative participation. Jirga Hall served as the official voting location for provincial senators throughout the day. Election authorities accommodated the extension to guarantee comprehensive representation in the upper house. Vote tallying commenced promptly when polling concluded at the revised deadline. Assembly officials anticipated announcing final results within a short timeframe after the counting process finished.
