Music software developer Ueberschall has expanded its Elastik loop collection with "Aloha Hawaii," a comprehensive sample library that captures the authentic sounds of Hawaiian pop music from the 1960s.
The new release features 2.8 gigabytes of musical content spread across five construction kits. These kits include essential Hawaiian instruments such as ukuleles, pedal steel guitars, and lap steel guitars, backed by gentle acoustic drums and warm electric bass lines. Musicians Kai Reuter and Karsten Brudy performed the original recordings, with Julian Liedtke handling production duties.
Each construction kit contains three to four main sections plus dedicated introductions and endings. The tempo ranges from 70 to 110 beats per minute, embracing both 4/4 and 6/8 time signatures. The collection offers more than 600 individual loops, with some extending up to 42 seconds in length.
The package provides extensive mixing flexibility through multiple recording options. Users will find both direct input and microphone-recorded versions of the electric bass parts, alongside processed alternatives, ready for immediate use. The ukulele and steel guitar recordings come in both dry and effects-processed versions, featuring equalization, compression, and reverb treatments.
The drum sections offer particular depth, including separate recordings of kick drums, snare components, hi-hats, cymbals, and room microphones. This detailed approach allows producers complete control over their percussion arrangements.
