Amazon has launched Leo Ultra, a business-grade satellite terminal delivering gigabit-class connectivity through its low-Earth-orbit network. The phased-array antenna, built without mechanical components, achieves download rates reaching 1 Gbps and uploads hitting 400 Mbps while linking directly into AWS infrastructure and private enterprise networks.
The hardware targets remote sectors where terrestrial connections fail, from energy installations to logistics operations and government agencies. An enterprise preview program is currently underway, allowing select organizations to trial the system before wider deployment next year, though commercial pricing remains under wraps.
