Ambaji Temple in Gujarat receives FSSAI's Eat Right Prasad certification for hygiene and food safety

The Ambaji Temple in Gujarat's Banaskantha district has secured the prestigious 'Eat Right Prasad' certification from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. This recognition highlights the temple's exceptional food safety and hygiene standards in preparing and distributing Mohanthal prasad. Annually, the temple sells approximately 1.25 crore units of the traditional sweet, meeting rigorous cleanliness and quality benchmarks. Additional Collector Kaushik Modi, who also serves as the temple administrator, emphasized the trust's commitment to maintaining high service standards. Dedicated to Arasuri Amba, a form of Goddess Durga, the temple holds significant spiritual importance, with mythological connections to the heart of Goddess Sati falling at this sacred location.
