AMD prepares to sell you a Ryzen 9600 with broken graphics

Advanced Micro Devices continues expanding its desktop processor portfolio with the Ryzen 5 9500F, a budget-oriented Zen 5 architecture chip. Benchleaks discovered the six-core, twelve-thread processor during Geekbench 6 testing sessions. The new silicon removes integrated graphics while maintaining 32 megabytes of L3 cache memory. Base frequencies reach 3.8 gigahertz with maximum boost speeds touching 5.0 gigahertz. This represents the second F-series variant following the eight-core Ryzen 7 9700F model.

Performance measurements show the 9500F matching its Ryzen 5 9600 counterpart across single-threaded and multi-threaded workloads. The processor scored 3,122 points in single-core tests and 14,369 points in multi-core evaluations. Market analysts predict retail pricing below $200, potentially undercutting the predecessor Ryzen 5 7500F launch cost of $179. The chip targets budget-conscious consumers seeking modern architecture benefits without paying premium prices. AMD positions this processor against entry-level gaming and productivity applications.
