AMD RX 9070 GPUs Vanish From Steam Charts

Steam users cannot find AMD's newest graphics cards anywhere. The RDNA 4 GPUs launched months ago but never showed up on Steam's monthly hardware reports. NVIDIA's RTX 50 series cards appear regularly and gain market share each month. AMD released fewer graphics cards than NVIDIA during their latest product launches. The absence raises questions about how many people actually bought AMD's newest hardware.

NVIDIA released six different RTX 50 series models for gamers and creators. AMD only launched two RX 9070 series cards with a third model coming soon. The RTX 5060 Ti earned 0.21 percent of Steam's graphics card market despite being newer than AMD's offerings. Combined RTX 50 series cards hold nearly 2 percent of the total Steam market. Even expensive RTX 5090 cards disappeared from the survey for unknown reasons.

AMD's RX 9070 series missed three straight Steam surveys since their release date. The cards might hide inside the 9.32 percent "Other" category with very small market shares. Steam's survey only counts users who agree to share their computer information each month. AMD's cards probably sell well at retail stores but Steam users prefer different brands. Survey data might not reflect real sales numbers for either company's graphics cards.
