AMD's 21% share in Korea fails to challenge Nvidia's dominance

AMD captured approximately 21 percent of the graphics processing unit market during 2025, marking significant growth from the previous year's 15 percent share. NVIDIA maintains market leadership with 76 percent, while Intel holds the remaining 3 percent. South Korean consumers demonstrate a strong preference for AMD's RX 9070 XT and RX 7700 XT models, according to Danawa marketplace data. This performance represents AMD's strongest market position in over ten years, with only 2019 showing comparable results.

The RX 9070 XT and RX 9060 XT each secured approximately 7 percent of total market share, driving AMD's remarkable expansion. NVIDIA's RTX 5060 leads individual product sales with more than 20 percent market penetration. The RTX 5070 follows with 17 percent share, while RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5060 Ti claim 10 percent and 9 percent, respectively. Asian markets, along with North American and European regions, are demonstrating increased demand for AMD's RDNA 4 architecture graphics cards throughout the current year.
