Ample Ethno v4 drops with smarter strumming and tab-to-MIDI magic

Ample Sound just dropped a major free update for three folk instruments. Their Ethno v4 collection updates Lapsteel, Ukulele, and Banjo with a powerful new MIDI editor called Riffer four, designed specifically for plucked strings. A revamped strumming system treats entire chords as single editable objects for unified control over strum timing and dynamics. This combines with authentic fingering logic to create more realistic performances.

The editor introduces dual view modes, allowing real-time switching between piano roll and guitar tablature. A string visualization system appears within the piano roll to prevent polyphony on a single string and auto-assign fingering. Technique editing for articulations and expression happens directly without key switches. New MIDI CC editors let users view multiple automation lanes with customizable colors and preset curves.

Full import and export compatibility ensures MIDI moves accurately between the plugin and any digital audio workstation. The included Tab Reader four imports Guitar Pro files up to version eight, preserving all performance data. All three instruments run on an updated version four engine with improved processing efficiency. They also feature a redesigned five thousand series interface.

Every instrument preset has been completely remade for a more polished tone. Each includes a demo composition within Riffer for quick inspiration. System requirements cover Mac and Windows systems, with significant disk space recommended. The plugins come in all standard formats, including a standalone host.

This version four upgrade is free for current owners. A storewide promotional discount is active for a limited time on individual instruments and bundles. Existing customers also qualify for an additional loyalty discount during this sale period.
